Verdict

Despite having won a chase in France, Symphonick was far from fluent over the fences at Hereford on his debut for Paul Nicholls and eventually unshipped his rider - he's best watched for now. Mud Monkey has made a promising start to his chasing career and looked like landing a quick double before falling at the last when in the lead at Ludlow. A mistake-free round should see him figure but preference goes to FORGET IT. Gary Moore's gelding had appeared to have lost his way over hurdles before making a winning chase debut at Kempton in November. There should be more to come from the six-year-old over fences and he is taken to follow up. Horsford makes most appeal of the remainder on his chasing debut.
