Verdict

Smart miler Montiridge is a fascinating runner in this hugely-competitive Listed contest as he drops back to 6f for the first time. Stablemate Professor is proven over 6f and has already won twice in this grade. Music Master was second in a Group 3 at Ascot in the autumn and made a winning reappearance at Warwick while last year's Ayr Gold Cup hero Highland Colori shouldn't be far away after a pipe-opener at Haydock. The three-year-old Justice Day was fourth in the Temple Stakes last time but Lancelot Du Lac has been a bit disappointing this term and Morache Music looks held by a few of these on past form. Conditions will suit REX IMPERATOR and he's yet to finish out of the first two here in four previous runs. He looks well drawn today so we'll take a chance on the fitness of William Haggas' Stewards' Cup winner on his reappearance.
