      Verdict

An absence from the track of 11 months is of concern for Lake Chini but Michael Jarvis can be relied upon to produce one fit after a lay off and he may well be good enough to beat some exposed rivals including Cyclonic and Poker Player. The last mentioned has solid claims judged by official BHB ratings and hails from a stable in good form right now but Brian Meehan's gelding is unlikely to appreciate the recent rainfall so may be best passed over. Mina and Montana have both shown a consistent level of form but that has been at a lower grade than this and a place looks to be the best that either can realistically hope for. Jamie Osborne's Awaaser has only had two starts so far and is less exposed than most of her rivals but needs to improve, while Trouble Maker has given little sign of encouragement so far. Preference then is for Lake Chini, who need only reproduce the pick of his juvenile form to make a winning return.
