In depth

Verdict

Richard Hannon usually does well at Windsor, and can land this decent looking handicap with SPECIAL RESERVE, but others to take note of are Mick's Dancer and Indian Skipper. We wouldn't be taking too short a price though, as Special Reserve remains a maiden after 14 runs. He's usually involved at the finish, and doesn't lose by much, but he may not be the most straightforward of rides. He's had the advantage of a run this year though unlike a number of rivals, when runner up again. Mick's Dancer has been runner up in four of his last five outings, winning the other one. Again, he's blown away the winter cobwebs with a recent run, and Willie Muir's gelding has the advantage of being bottom weight. Indian Skipper was last seen in November and hasn't been able to build on a Lingfield success more than a year ago. If stripping fit after a lay-off, he should be involved. Folio and top weight By Command are the only course and distance winners in the field, but don't have any recent decent form to stand out. It looks competitive, but we'll side with Special Reserve.
