In depth

Verdict

The lightly raced Cheney Hill gets the vote in this trappy affair, Matuza and Azygous will provide plenty of danger. Hanry Candy's colt made short work of a modest field at Bath last time, comfortably beating Tender Moment. The handicapper will have found it hard to assess this improving type and he may have got in lightly. Matuza landed both his juvenile races and has performed with credit in two handicaps this season. With further progression likely he looks a major threat to the selection. Azygous looked a very decent prospect at the start of last season but has struggled to reach his true potentail. However he is still a solid performer at this level and he could reach the frame at a decent price. Lucky Lucioni also has a chance on the pick of his form, but Cheney Hill could be anything and he should make it back to back victories.
