        Verdict

        Endeavour cost 100,000gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to two winners – a market move for Richard Hannon's colt would be significant. Trading Punches may do better when going handicapping but David Brown also runs Tranquil Daze, who is speedily-bred and was too green to do himself justice at Thirsk. Smokey Lane was second to the smart The Last Lion in a Listed race at Sandown last month and has his sights lowered but the filly SUN ANGEL could give him plenty to think about as she was fifth in a Goodwood maiden last time which featured several well-regarded types.
