Verdict

This won’t take much winning and, with the ground drying out, Langley Vale goes on the short-list, despite the lack of a recent run. He won at Bath in September and was placed over track and trip off this mark earlier. Nutini is 3lb higher than when successful over course and distance in October but still on a fair mark and fancied to reverse earlier Bath form with Air Of York on this quicker surface. PERFECT PASTIME is another who knows where the winning post is here and he will have delighted Jim Boyle with his second at Lingfield 12 days ago. Well behind in the early stages, who finished with a rare rattle once seeing daylight and dropping back a furlong is probably in his favour. Major Assault is also race-fit but is best on the all-weather. Ubla and Run With Pride may be best of the rest.
