Verdict

Boomerang Bob beat Red Socks just over a length on his debut before the latter suffered a five-length defeat at the hands of TIOMAN LEGEND. Roger Charlton's colt landed the odds on turf at Lingfield in fine style and today's rivals will all need to improve to keep up with him here. Starfly got off the mark at last week's meeting here and makes more appeal than the free-running The Dancing Lord, who scored at Folkestone before finishing last of five at Newmarket. Lord Of The Shadows scored here last month and should figure again, but Charles The Great looks up against it.
