In depth

Verdict

Mallory Heights made steady progress in his first season and is the type to improve further now going down the handicap route. Pivotal Silence came good at Kempton on his reappearance and may have more to offer while Akdam won a Wolverhampton maiden last month, though doesn't appear to have been done any favours by the handicapper. GETAWAY CAR is a bit more exposed than some of his rivals but has a pedigree which suggests the step up to middle-distances this year will suit and he could represent a bit of value back on Turf. Inessa Armand didn't beat much at Kempton last time, however, while Just A Pound may need this and Brick Rising has proved disappointing. Hello Sailor needs more of a comeback third at Nottingham.
