NEW STAR gets the nod over North Parade, while King Of The Beers is consistent and is another to have on the list to make the frame if all eight stand their ground. King Of The Beers has been tried over a variety of trips and can usually be relied upon to give his all. Sadly (for his faithful supporters) he has a tendency to find a few more determined in a finish and he will never be one to back with maximum confidence. North Parade found the drop back to a mile to his liking at Southwell 10 days ago and will be a threat if he is in the same frame of mind. His connections are obviously keen to hang on to him. But he is hardly over faced at this level. Still, New Star could have his measure on a form line through Blacktoft and, given his proven liking for the Wolverhampton surface, this appears to be a good chance for New Star to shine.
