    Verdict

My Mate Les has gone close in similar contests on a couple of occasions and will likely be winning one soon, but CABAL makes more appeal today. Like the rest of these, she rarely wins but posted a decent effort when third over C&D in better company last month and today's drop in class can see Andrew Crook's mare back to winning ways. Hathaway has claims on January's second at Kempton, while Cairanne could also figure as she recorded a hat-trick of placed efforts in this grade earlier in the year.
