        Verdict

        Kingofmerrows was placed three times at the end of last year after returning from a lay-off. The four-year-old has made the frame in six of his nine career starts but is only rated 70 and it will be disappointing if some of the three-year-olds can’t improve past him. BREATHLESS TIMES shaped with plenty of promise on his belated debut over this trip at Kempton last week. He never looked like catching the winner after a tardy start but will know more today and should prove hard to beat, though collateral form gives Global Pass every chance as he is another likely improver. Grandfather Tom could also be worth a second look while Richard Fahey’s filly Daze Out is a full sister to three winners.
