      Verdict

Musiotal is the pick ahead of Ligne d'Eau, Samson Quest and My Girl Pearl in a race that will not take much winning. Musiotal should be suited by the step up in trip today after chasing home the favourite Magic Amour over six furlongs here last time. That was his first run since the start of September, and the way that he stayed on to be beaten only half a length at the finish suggests that he will have conditions in his favour today. The only negative would be his draw in stall nine, but apart from that Jim Goldie's charge has leading claims. Ligne d'Eau won a seller over seven furlongs at Leicester in August, proving that he does stay the trip, and he has previous course form here so has a squeak. Samson Quest displayed a modicum of ability in the spring, and came back to form when opening his account at Lingfield in September. He was well down the field in a handicap here in October though and is best watched unless the market speaks in his favour. My Girl Pearl has a good draw in stall two at least but is out of form, and our vote lies with Musiotal.
