Verdict

James Barrymore sets the standard here but we are going to take him on with newcomer HIGH CONSTABLE. Richard Hannon's charge has a vulnerable look, even though he has made steady improvement over five runs so far. He handled this surface well enough on one previous try, but a rating of 73 is respectable, rather than frightening, and we will oppose. High Constable is one of two Roger Charlton-trained runners and this Shamardal colt, owned by Her Majesty The Queen, looks the pick on pedigree. Both his sire and grandsire won on debut as juveniles, and he is a half-brother to the useful two-year-old 7f winner Right Approach, so we remain hopeful. Stablemate Fusaichi Flyer is also related to several 7f winners on his dam's side and there is no reason why he can't also make a nice debut, though he may have to wait for other days. Ming Master will need to improve plenty for his debut, and the same applies to Saharia, and we will side with High Constable.
