In depth

Verdict

Le Chiffre has improved bundles this season however he may not get an easy lead so from his highest career mark we will take him on and instead side with Trivia ahead of Joshua's Gold. The selection disappointed two runs back but then ran a race full of promise at Yarmouth at 50/1. He has only had five starts to date so expect further improvement, and in this seemingly less competitive race, he is fancied to make his all-weather debut a winning one. If for any reason he fails to act on the surface, it may pay to side with Joshua's Gold. One of the most consistent horses around, Declan Carroll's charge can go close although he, like Le Chiffre, looks a little high in the weights. Gaelic Princess and Bold Diktator are two course and distance winners who are both better than recent efforts suggest, so whilst King's Bastion could go well with the visor now discarded, it is Trivia who is fancied to score.
