HESSIAN drops back to what is probably his optimum of seven furlongs. 2lb lower than his last winning mark, Hessian travelled very well last time at his favoured Lingfield last time on what was his first attempt at a mile for some time. Kannon has been running very consistently of late. A winner at Brighton on her penultimate start over a mile, her 6lb penalty just seemed to anchor her at Brighton last time. Ten Pole Tudor and Applesnap are two that if returning to anything like their old form would have claims. Ten Pole Tudor stayed on to take third spot last time but the race was run to suit him and it is possible that he might have been flattered by his final finishing position.
