In depth

Verdict

PRIVATE JOKE will be all the rage here. John Gosden's charge finished runner-up to a promising Luca Cumani filly over a mile at Kempton on his debut but was clear of the third-placed horse and will start a short-price to take care of these rivals. It's difficult to measure the form of D'Artagnan, who has raced without success in 11 starts in his native South Africa, and Jingoism is hard to fancy on the evidence of his two starts on the Flat to date. The remainder have shown nothing to suggest they will be winning soon.
