      Verdict

LINDY LOU won decisively at Yarmouth last time and looks capable of defying a 7lb rise in the weights, with Summer Lodge and Wait For The Light others for the shortlist. The selection is saddled by the in-form Chris Wall, and she responded well to being dropped back in trip when weaving through the field to win going away at the seaside track last month. She has been given a bit of time before this next run and the furlong extra here is probably a plus so we'll side with her. Summer Lodge was a course-and-distance winner last time out and is also up 7lb for tonight's contest. He too looks to have solid claims in spite of that extra burden and a win would be no shock. Wait For The Light won here over 7f as a juvenile but has thus far struggled to add to his CV. However, he was close enough on his last two starts to suggest that the next win won't be too long in coming. Three Boars tends to save his best for Southwell but he will stay forever and does have one win to his name here. The handicapper looks in control where he is concerned though, while the same cannot be said of Jackie Kiely, who is on a handy mark and would make more appeal if this were on the Fibresand.
