This may be another one for followers of the Jamie Spencer bandwagon, as he teams up with top weight Thorny Mandate. In-form Pairumani Princess and Synonymy are obvious dangers, while Ha'Penny Beacon has been knocking on the door lately and can make the frame at fair odds. The last named holds experience of the course and, having gone well for Stephen Donohoe last time out, a big run cannot be ruled out. The daughter of Erhaab needs a strong pace to be seen at her best, so may be suited by the way events unfold. Synonomy also acts well at Wolverhampton and, having proven stamina for the trip, has to be shortlisted as a threat. He is still on a winning mark despite an 8lb rise, so would be dangerous to leave out of the equation. Being the mount of Seb Sanders, the lightly raced Pairumani Princess has to also come into the reckoning. She appears to need a test of endurance and, as the surface is not expected to be a problem, it would come as no surprise to see the two leading jockeys fight out the finish again. However, Thorny Mandate just holds the edge in this sort of company and she is fancied to relish this ease in grade this evening.
