      Verdict

Paddy Jack Edges preference from Choisette and Bahamarama. The last named won a modest contest here last month - fully justifying favouritism with a solid effort. She has more to do on this occasion, though, and needs to post an improved effort. That said, Ron Harris' charge is only 2lb higher in the ratings, so has a feasible chance of going close. Choisette is an honest filly that has an aptitude over this trip. Bryan Smart has maintained a good strike-rate with his youngsters another bold show appears to be in the offering. Speedy Senorita has a similar profile and is also worth noting for signs of support. She steps up in grade after winning a weak claimer, though, and appears to face a tough task. Therefore, the vote stays with. Paddy Jack, who is a likely candidate to set the tempo. The son of Rambling Bear appreciated dropping back to sprint distances last time out and, as he will ensure that no quarter measures will suffice, he looks the most reliable option this time.
