In depth

Verdict

Often in these low-grade claimers it's prudent to side with the highest rated animal and as such Gaily Noble is very much respected. However, the way this race is framed marginally favours LATIN TINGE and we'll take a chance with Paul Cole's runner while Johnmanderville remains of interest. After keeping some pretty lofty company as a two-year-old the selection hasn't lived up to that early promise and as a result has probably been left struggling under unrealistic marks. This will be the first time connections try him at this level and the hope is that first time blinkers will further help a bold bid. Gaily Noble has won his only attempt over course and distance and was running well in some decent handicaps before another solid effort in a good claimer last time. He should be going close and is very much on the shortlist. Johnmanderville has struggled in handicaps under a heavy burden since scoring off a rating of 74 in April and although he is respected now in this grade the terms favour others in the race. Andean Margin has a similar profile to the one we've just mentioned so should also be running well.
