In depth

Verdict

A claimer that should be dominated by Sheila's Star and BATHWICK SCANNO. The latter ran into form in a Nottingham seller last time, finishing runner-up with the front pair four lengths clear. The assessor has put him up 9lb for that, so David Evans now chooses the claimer route. He acts on this surface and a repeat effort would probably suffice. If he can't run as well this time around then Sheila's Star, who ran well in a couple of 1m handicaps off higher marks in the summer, can probably take advantage. Oratouch can improve for her debut and with Chris Catlin booked, money for her would probably be significant.
