Verdict

OUR KES is taken to land this handicap at the main expense of Hits Only Cash and Quick Off The Mark. The selection arrives here on the back of a solid effort at Lingfield when she chased home Denton. She showed enough that day to suggest that her turn would not be far away and off her current mark she looks capable of scoring. Hits Only Cash could be the fly in the ointment as he showed a good attitude to beat Feasible by a nose at Kempton earlier in the month. But that was his first win since 2007 and given his poor strike-rate it is hard to be too confident about his chances of backing up that success. Quick Off The Mark is certainly weighted to win and he shaped with more encouragement last time when he finished third behind Lady Calido. The Grey One is a capable performer on his day and he went close over this course and distance last month, but he ran a shocker at Chepstow when last seen out and he is hard to fancy off the back of that below-par effort. Confide In Me has got some fair form on the turf but his all-weather efforts leave him with a little to find. Our Kes makes most appeal and she gets the vote.
