    Verdict

Cross Counter attempts to defy a penalty having made a winning debut with a clear-cut victory over a shorter trip here last month. But NATCH wasn’t beaten far when fourth behind a subsequent winner at Chelmsford on his introduction and John Gosden’s colt can take advantage of the weight concession and come out best. Paddy The Chef finished a couple of lengths in front of Suprematism when runner-up at Chelmsford though never threatened the winner and Destinys Rock looks best of the rest.
