    Verdict

A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Winthorpe,Gilded Cove and El Potro and the tentative vote is given to Gilded Cove. The selection won with a little in hand when beating Up Tempo and despite top weight he looks the value bet in an open affair from a good draw. Winthorpe rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Jimmy The Guesser but he does not win as often as he should and for that reason he is opposed. El Poto is another worthy of respect on his latest fourth behind Efistrom but all his best form is over a longer trip and for that reason he is opposed. Of the remainder Norcroft has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price but he is hard to win with and with this in mind for the winner we return to Gilded Cove.
