Verdict

Not a strong race by any stretch of the imagination and, with a variety of jockeyship on view, stakes are advised to be kept to a minimum. Our Destiny had been struggling of late but appreciated the step back to this trip when a comfortable winner (Doberman third and held) of a similar event for today's rider here last week. This is tougher under a 5lb penalty but the son of Mujadil is still well treated on the pick of his form and can come out on top in receipt of weight from his main rivals. Yorker is on a longish losing sequence but hinted at a return to form when a close second over course and distance last time. The James Eustace-trained gelding takes a drop in grade and should go well despite a subsequent 3lb rise while Qobtaan remains a maiden but is unexposed and may fare best of the remainder.
