      Verdict

      Neither of the newcomers appeal on breeding, even in this moderate affair, and a chance is taken that DR RED EYE will be fit enough and handles the surface after a reasonable debut at Carlisle in June. We'll Deal Again continues to frustrate and has now gone 20 races without winning and it's more than likely that Stand Beside Me can keep him out of the first two as he probably has some improvement in him. It would be unwise to dismiss the filly Macie despite a couple of poor efforts as both have been over longer trips on turf.
