Verdict

Xpres Maite, Flying Bantam and Tanforan are the trio for the shortlist here and Xpres Maite is the pick. The selection was an easy winner last time out when he beat Elusive Warrior at Southwell. He proved he sees out a mile on that occasion but there is little doubt that he is better over this trip and he looks up to defying a penalty to score. Flying Bantam is more than capable of winning this race but he has a lengthy absence to overcome and he should be sharper for the run. Tanforan finished behind our selection a couple of runs ago, but we think Xpress Maite has improved since then and he can make it 3 wins on the spin.
