As with the majority of bumpers at this time of year, this will not take much winning. Annaghbridge is likely to head the market for the Noel Chance yard that do well with the horses they target at these contests. The winner of an Irish point-to-point in January, that was run in bottomless ground and only three completed the course. The horse behind him is a maiden after 15 career starts between the flags so that victory is nothing to get excited about. Prior to his win, his form was pretty ordinary to say the least and he is opposable on ground and over a trip that are unknowns. Searching for one to beat him is another story though! The market should be watched where Market Tyde and Penyfan Lad are concerned, hailing from small yards who can ready their charges and have acquired the services of top jockeys. Ice Hunter shaped with some promise over the course in a bumper last month although what was in close proximity to him is another matter. We will give Helen Lewis's Penyfan Lad the vote but the market will provide the best guide.
