In depth

Verdict

Magical Harry was good value for his recent success at Stratford but this looks tougher for him off an 8lb higher mark and preference is for Tanterari who gets the vote ahead of The King of Angels. The selection took advantage of a slipping handicap mark when a ready winner at Uttoxeter last week and, having won races back-to-back in quick succession in the past, a quick reappearance under a penalty need not be of any real concern. Swings 'n Strings is not the most reliable of jumpers and has yet to prove that he stays this far, while Sparkling Taff may do better than in recent starts but could probably do with some help from the handicapper. Broken Reed is less exposed than most of these and could be of interest, while The King of Angels is similarly lightly raced and looks to be going the right way. Tanterari remains handily treated though and is taken to win again.
