In depth

Verdict

This doesn’t look as competitive as the first division so it will be interesting to see if there is any money for the nicely-bred 58,000 euros Gold Well newcomer Shoal Bay with Richard Johnson booked. Clondaw Native and Some Ambition showed ability in points while Silk Run started favourite at Perth in August, though performed moderately. MAHLERMADE never looked like winning at Stratford in April but showed some promise and the race has worked out well - he’ll have learned from that.
