In depth

Verdict

Sword Of Fate ran quite well behind a decent novice at Warwick on his reappearance and will be looking to take advantage of the weight he receives from previous winners Arthington and COUNTER SHY. The latter did beat a subsequent easy winner over course and distance to get off the mark, however, and a little further improvement should make him hard to beat. Arthington’s win at Plumpton last month was also decent form but he’s giving 4lb to Jonjo O’Neill runner, less his rider’s claim. Newton Abbot second Holryale is unlikely to find this drop in distance in his favour.
