In depth

Verdict

Bernard Llewellyn supplies three candidates with dual purpose performer, Taste The Wine, making most appeal after landing a similar contest at Newton Abbot. A good servant to the yard under both codes, there's little between him and On Alberts Head on latest running. Stable companion Honour Promise is back after an absence whilst Baccalaureate takes a major step down in grade and will be competitive if back to the level of his first two runs of the year at Exeter. PRINCE MAHLER is another taking a similar descent in class and could well prove up to the task of conceding weight all round if consenting to reproduce his best, especially with conditions to suit. Ballyandrew and Nice Thoughts are also considered in an open race for the grade.
