Verdict

Fayette County should really have won before now and is facing some potentially useful novices here over a longer trip. The handicapper has taken no chances with Singlefarmpayment and Churchtown Champ is probably more interesting at the weights. He's already won between the flags, though lost his way over hurdles after winning at Taunton in January. ROLL THE DOUGH (NAP) won both starts under Rules last year, including one on this card, building on a progressive profile in point-to-points. He's been kept under the radar so far so will have been hard to assess and may have got in lightly on a mark of 125. Bronco Billy, who won a handicap over hurdles at Huntingdon in April, is another to keep on the right side and he makes more appeal than Man From Seville.
