Verdict

Kanturk Bank and Still Together both won point-to-points in the spring, as did Crimson Ark. The latter was third on his debut under Rules at Stratford but didn't look straightforward and now wears a hood. Western Miller was second on his recourse debut at Warwick in April and will be fancied to go one better. But the winner that day was trained by Peter Bowen, who saddles BEGGAR'S WISHES in this. He has a nice jumping pedigree, being by Oscar and a half-brother to two winners, and could be the value here. Wholestone is another debutant worth a second look.
