In depth

Verdict

Crazy Jack has won twice over fences but this could be a pipe-opener. Sign Manual has to go on the short-list as he made a bold bid to defy a penalty at Wetherby in May after winning easily at Bangor. But faster ground could be a problem for another penalised runner, Clancy's Cross, and Kilcullen Flem would also have preferred a much softer surface. Fellow winning pointers Ballycross and Super Scorpion make their debuts under Rules following a lay-off but MUSTMEETALADY was only beaten a head by the useful Robbie Rabbit over 3m at Uttoxeter in May and any improvement on that would make Jonjo O'Neill's lightly-raced novice tough to beat today.
