Verdict

The improving SILENT MAN (NAP) can follow up his victory in a novices’ handicap at Uttoxeter in another modest heat ahead of Phare Isle, who was beaten at Plumpton after recording a rare success at Fakenham. Blackfire is 0-17 but has shown some ability, though whether he’ll stay this far is anybody’s guess. Comical Red and Charlie Parker may be the pick of the remainder, though that’s not saying much.
