In depth

Verdict

Cedar Rangers and Sweetwater will have their supporters in this weak event, but we just prefer the chances of So Sure. John O'Shea's four-year-old last contested a seller back in September of last year and duly obliged beating Margaret's Wish in comfortable style. Since that victory he has been running in better company without too much success, back in this grade he must have strong claims. Cedar Rangers wasn't beaten far in an amateur event at Newton Abbot last time and should be vying for a place. However the main threat to the selection could be Sweetwater who put up a promising display on debut when sixth behind Miss Skippy in a better contest, improvement must be forthcoming for the Martin Pipe trained filly. So not a race to get too carried away but So Sure looks the safest bet.
