Alan King and Robert Thornton have been sparing with summer runners but SUBURBAN BAY has emerged in no uncertain fashion to keep things ticking over nicely. He floored an odds-on shot when cruising home at Southwell and followed up in equally smooth style at Uttoxeter. Back to two and a half miles now, he's clearly very much on the upgrade and looks best followed until beaten. Crystal Rock has become a thoroughly consistent servant for the Henderson team and looks sure to go well but he's been put up another 4lb for a recent defeat here by the unrelenting handicapper. He still rates the clear threat though. The rest are either out of form or back from an absence but King's Forest could be interesting if back to his best.
