Verdict

Tidal Run carries a 6lb penalty for a decisive Folkestone success on reappearance and looks sure to post another good effort here for the Channon team that has made a solid start to the new campaign. He's certainly on the upgrade but this looks a tougher assignment than that race and GRANDAD MAC appeals as a viable alternative. Much improved for the step up in trip and softer ground when a well-backed winner at Chepstow on his final outing last term, he looks the sort to deliver further improvement in the new season which he starts on a very workable mark. He should stay this trip well on the available evidence. Colinca's Lad and Rosie Jessop are a standing dish at the Norfolk track and the combination must always warrant short-list inclusion at this venue.
