      Verdict

      OUT OF THE BLOCKS didn't live up to his name when far from rapid from the gate on his Redcar debut but picked up nicely late on to claim the minor placing. He should be good enough here in what looks a modest affair with the benefit of that experience under his belt. Sally Bruce didn't do too badly on her Kempton debut behind Woodland Mill with a satisfactory mid-division finish that belied her SP. She can improve for that run here and is seen as the main threat. The market should reflect stable confidence in the newcomers with Eloquent Star a token choice for the minor placing from the busy Evans yard.
