In depth

Verdict

Ionian Spring can land this with ease at the expense of Eminence Gift and Pay On. The connections of the selection must feel confident of success here after some encouraging performances of late. He managed a win at Chepstow last month and has since run well in defeat. This looks an easy task and if running up to his usual standard success is surly only just around the corner. Eminence Gift is the biggest danger to the selection having won over course and distance last year. His form this season though has not been up to scratch and he will need improvement to beat the likely favourite. Pay on is winless after five starts but does have the services of Dettori so any market moves should be noted but for the winner we return to Ionian Spring.
