Verdict

CLAIM kept on really well to get off the mark over 7f at Beverley last month on only his second start. Open to plenty of further improvement, he'll have no problem lasting out the extra furlong on this easier track and looks the one to beat. A Certain Romance didn't look entirely straightforward at Goodwood last time but wouldn't be the first to run badly at the Sussex course and shouldn't be ignored. Astrosapphire ran his best race so far there last month, however, while Bartack has hinted at ability in his three runs but is possibly a shade high in the weights. That may also be the case with Medicoe, who was a beaten favourite at York last time and is a pound higher here.
