In depth

Verdict

Squaw Dance has obvious claims in this conditions event, with Coconut Squeak the main danger and Marajuana likely to run well without being good enough. A Listed winner at Newmarket last October, Squaw Dance was taken off her feet in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot at York before showing improved form to finish within a length of Bon Nuit in a Listed fillies' race at Sandown 17 days ago. The return to front-running tactics contributed to her improved performance that day, and as she is rated 102, Willie Haggas's filly has a stone and upwards in hand of her rivals here. There should be a good battle for second though, with Coconut Squeak, a likeable second at Salisbury, taken to fill that berth. Extreme Beauty and Marajuana will need to improve on what they showed on their Newmarket return a fortnight ago. Using the ratings as a guide, it will be a shock if Squaw Dance is beaten.
