In depth

Verdict

Daaree started favourite at Newmarket on his return from a lengthy absence but could only manage third. Erroneous is hard to weigh up while Pontefract winner Silver Alliance has struggled in this grade in the past but Miguel Grau is worth a second look having gone close at Ripon last time and is preferred to Blighty, second over a shorter trip here 11 days ago. PLACIDIA has been rested since finishing down the field at Goodwood in June but her second to Insaany over this trip at Nottingham in May has worked out well and she won a maiden at Lingfield subsequently - she gets the nod.
