Parisien Star will appreciate the return to this trip having been found out in the Cambrideshire last weekend. Having held a handy position, he was caught out when the pace lifted three-furlongs out, but he did stay on again when meeting the rising ground. He looks sure to give a good account, while The Glen had a nice confidence booster when running away with a claimer at Leicester. He will not mind the fast ground and he has nothing to fear from both Stretton and Trouble Mountain, on their running at Chester. However, the one to beat is Northside Lodge, who comes into this at the top of his form. Well placed by his handler to pick up four races this year, he turned in his best performance to date when beating a useful field at Yarmouth last time. That form recieved a boost on Monday when Castleshane, just over two-lengths behind him at Yarmouth, went on to be a wide margin winner at Windsor. The selection looks to have been let in lightly off only a 4lb higher mark and he looks sure to take all the beating.
