    Verdict

Inchnadumph normally needs the run so preference therefore is for Power Of Future ahead of Dundry, Bollin Derek and Gala Evening. Henry Cecil has his horses in good nick at present and his progressive four-year-old comes here in search of the hat-trick. He won well last time out on a left-handed galloping track so today's course should suit and a 4lb rise in the weights may have underestimated him slightly. Gala Evening has been in good form this year over hurdles and on the flat and deserves plenty of respect here, especially if the forecast rain comes. Mister Arjay stays well and could go close given a decent pace, as could Bollin Derek. He didn't appear to stay two miles when last seen at Ripon but now dropped in trip, he can go well, especially as he handles all types of ground. Dundry is a course and distance winner so has claims of gaining just his second win, although this mark of 82 certainly looks high enough. Mighty Moon is too high in the weights after winning by a football pitch at Catterick last year, whilst Augustus John steps up to this trip for the first time and is not to be underestimated. A tough finale for punters, in which we will tentatively side with Power Of Future.
