Verdict

The winner of an ordinary maiden, Country Reel will have to improve quite a bit on that showing if he is to land this, while the maiden Fiddlers Reach could have found an easier option to get off the mark. Stablemates Masterpoint and Royal Beacon both have something to find at this level and preference is for the former, who looked a horse to follow when winning a maiden at Newmarket back in May. He has been given plenty of time since then and is open to any amount of improvement. Greek Revival will need to put a disappointing effort at Newbury behind him, while All Nines was not disgraced under top weight in a nursery at Newmarket earlier in the month. Yarmouth maiden winner Indian Haven will have his work cut out at this level. Membership doesn't look good enough, but Revenue is a progressive individual. He had some useful animals behind when a solid second to Elusive City in the Group 2 Richmond Stakes and that form bears the closest inspection. On a line through The Bonus King, he has the beating the Hannon Pair, July Stakes winner Mister Links and the fifth in that race, albeit an unlcuky fifth Tizzy May.
