Verdict

A competitive sprint with the weights headed by Good Girl. A useful juvenile, she has struggled a little this year and she still gets little respite from the Handicapper. Plateau looks to be getting his act together and impressed when landing a minor event at Yarmouth last month. That form has take a few knocks since, but he is an improving individual and will be well suited to the likely strong pace here as he travels really well in his races. Colonel Cotton will be better suited by this trip after failing to get home at Leicester and he is another who would prefer a strong pace. Strathclyde has more to do off this mark, but comes here in good form and should make the frame, while the progressive Mornin Reserves is also worthy of consideration.
