Verdict

A high-class renewal of this Group 1 featuring the winners of this year’s French and Irish Oaks. Laurens bravely held off Musis Amica at Chantilly and has now won three times at the highest level for Karl Burke. She won’t go down without a fight but SEA OF CLASS (NAP) exuded class when cruising alongside and going past Epsom Oaks winner Forever Together in the Irish equivalent at the Curragh when Bye Bye Baby was fourth and Ribblesdale Stakes heroine Magic Wand only fifth. Proven over the trip, she looks the one to be on. Horseplay won the Lancashire Oaks at Haydock but was earlier swept aside here by Coronet. Eziyra is worth her place in this exalted field but she is likely to fall short of the standard required.
